Third day out May 3rd
Paris 28 c - Find some maps then off to Paris

8.09 am First stop at the Tourist Information centre for maps of Paris and they have some lovely gardens here.

8.22am They even had tulips still flowering and we were in impressed with these street cleaners.

8.51 am Now back to the hotel, regroup, eat, then shuttle bus through the underground train to the centre of Paris.

10.35 am First look at some of big buildings in town and now to find a boat at Point Neuf for our river cruise at 9 euro each + .50 for the toilet use.

10.45 Still more big buildings, some of the roofs clad in gold.

11.20 More big buildings and also noticed the river is used for many industry uses.

11.33 Lots of big statues, very fine detail and many boats anchored along the sides where people lived on their boats.

11.41 This gold would be good to boost but to no avail and interesting to see barge operators take their cars with them.

11.50 More big buildings and I think it would expensive to live around here.

12.01 Many, many bridges with different ages and designs. Don't know how this truck got there and what it is doing.

12.06 More big building, suppose I should know their names and history, ah so. Now the girls are loose and off shopping now, yipee.

13.56 Coffee is thick here, keep you awake for a couple of days. Many shops like this one along the river, good for sucking in tourists.

14.04 See what I mean , here's a couple of soft coated wallet carriers now.

14.08 First corner of the "Lourve" and yes they have double deckers buses here as well.

14.15 More corners of the "Lourve".

14.24 The triangle thing near the main entrance to the "Lourve" and the arch just down with gold things on top.

14.47 The bottom end of the "Lourve" going in to some big gardens where nude statues are looking at you from everywhere.

15.41 Our return entrance to the trains and some of the big flats along the way.

Comments:
Philip:
Very nice gardens at the Tourist building, interesting railways if you keep up with the speed of the walk between trains and the boat trip was well worth it, with you be able to look at many big buildings.

Donna: We started day 3 with finding the tourism bureau and we eventually found a person who could speak English so she showed us how to get on the railway and where to get off and how to get a boat for a trip down the river. The boat trip was worth it and we saw a lot of Paris and the girls went to the louve which was very fancy and full of history. Lucy got very over tired and so did we all. On the train there was musician who played the accordion, Mum would have loved it and the underground was very efficient.

Rebecca:
We went sight seeing today and saw the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum which was Napoleon the 3rd’s house. We also went on a boat trip on the river which was quite nice!! I found the French quaint and charming. We went to our Hotel had tea and got ready for the next days flight.
