Sixteenth day out May 16 th
6.20 am Amsterdam - Holland to German Rhine cruise 19 c

06.37 am All the buses lined up for our escape from the Golden Tulip hotel to Rhineland.

08.29am First stop is the diamond processing factory and didn't that wake the girls up.

08.38 am Millions of dollars on display, like candy to a kid.

08.44 Even the best culterery was out on viewing pleasure.

09.19 Some of the bridges are lookable and most farmers were silage harvesting.

10.38 Better show you a picture of our Insight Vacation bus and now on to Colangne.

13.29 The main church here is grand to behold even the wars didn't flatten it.

14.01 Just another bridge and this would be a nice walk to this church (no bushfires?).

14.21 Countryside and the buildings are worth looking at everywhere.

14.47 There's my house and they plant the vineyards on vertical slopes.

16.02 Here we jump a rhine cruise for a couple of hours.

16.29 Here the houses and castles are even more spectacular.

17.01 All very clean villages and showing of history peeping round every bend of the river.

17.09 What can you say but this cruise was worth your venture in time.

17.25 More fortess and how would you like to farm these vineyards.(hope they don't slide)

19.15 Back to the lower plains and looking from our hotel room.

Comments:
Philip:
Early wakeup, then to a diamond factory, pass through Colangne and the a very gentle Rhine cruise. Very pleasant day, hard to remember it all.

Donna: In the morning we went and saw a Diamond Factory but it was a bit stiff and starchy. It had the feel of the 2nd world war about the building. The breakfasts and dinners were very nice and the Tour Leader is very interesting at imparting information.

Rebecca:
We travelled through Holland to Germany, Rhineland, from the flat land to the hills.
